ACADIANS WHO WENT TO ONTARIO
In the late 1800s and early 1900s many acadians went looking for work, some went to various places, to the United States, and out West. Many found work then they sent for their families. Of the ones who went out West, some settled in different parts of Ontario. Some went to work in the mines, others worked in lumber mills and factories. Many went to Oshawa, Kapiskasing,Toronto, Sault Ste Marie, Fort Frances,Thunder Bay,Sudbury. All different parts of Ontario. I have searched for Acadians who went to Ontario from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia,PEI and found some marriages and deaths.
