PART OF 1798 CENSUS FOR PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

The Genealogy Register

The following is a partial list of the inhabitants on PEI in 1798. Prince Edward Island was once known as Ile St Jean. This list is only a part that I had found at the Centre D'Etude Acadienne but I wanted to share it with you just in case you see some of your ancestors listed. This census was taken in April 1798 by the order of his excellency Governor Fanning, by Robert Fox Deputy Surveyor. And this list was in the History of Prince Edward Island.
